LAZERBALL

IEF.JPG

Developed as a combination of soccer, basketball and Lacrosse Lazerball is a favorite pass time of IEF and alien species alike across the galaxies. Several planets, bases and Stations have Lazerball courts for members and aliens to play recreationally and professionally.

Lazerball Rules

In  Lazerball there are eight player per side, seven field players and a goalie. The field is a zero gravity zone that is 25 meters wide by 50 meters long. The walls are 12 meters high. Goals are 4 meters tall by 3 meters wide and are placed so the midline of the goal is centered on the wall. Players have small propulsion packs and can only hold onto the ball for five seconds. There is a goal zone that players are not allowed in and must shoot the ball from outside the line.

If any player is ruled to be overly aggressive, holds the ball for more than five seconds or commits any other infraction they are placed in the "cell" for one minute and thirty seconds.

Lazerball is played in two halves of 30 minutes per half. Teams are allowed three timeouts and one challenge per half.

Games can end in a tie during regular season play and go into overtime then a shootout in playoff play.
